Mathias (Mathieu) d'Arras
architect; d. 1352.
Mathias d'Arras was brought from Avignon (France), by the Emperor Charles IV, to plan and construct the cathedral of Prague. He laid the foundations of the choir and built the surrounding chapels. The choir was completed, probably after his plans, by his successor, Pierre Arler or Peter Parler.
