Julien Destré
architect.
In June, 1651, Philip IV of Spain (b. 1605; d. 1665) authorized the construction of the Hôtel de Ville at Lille (Nord, France), then a city of Flanders, and under the domain of the Spanish crown. The following year the plans were presented by Julien Destré, maître ingéniaire et architecte, according to which the building was constructed.
