328 January 7 Constantine refounded Drepanum as Helenopolis in memory of his mother Helena.
328 September 27 Constantine is at Trier.
1999 chronology:
late 328 or early 329: Helena dies with Constantine at her side, probably somewhere in the western provinces. She is subsequently buried in Rome within the mausoleum attached to the basilica of Saints Marcellinus and Peter.
