Chersiphron

Chersiphron of Knosos in Crete was the earliest architect of the great Ionic temple of Artemis (Diana) at Ephesus in Asia Minor,about 616 B.C. Remains of this early temple were discovered by Wood in his excavations (see Theodorus).
