timepiece note

I have my own idea regarding the human body's relationship to circles and squares. First of all, the navel is not the center of the body, but rather the crotch is the center of the body. Although Vitruvius explicitly states that the navel is naturally the center, the navel is actually only the center of the body when a man or woman lies on their back with their arms and legs outstretched. Vitruvius inadvertently implies the corporal center at the crotch, however, when he states that a square can be drawn around a body that is standing with the arms stretched out to either side.

My idea of a new "Timepiece Man" cannot erase what Renaissance and subsequent scholars thought and continue to think about the navel and its centeredness. For this reason, The Timepiece of Humanity chronosomatically correlates the Renaissance and the navel.
