That's right, you go to me for the authoritative reading of 'piranesi'.
The latest book I've read was Church Fathers, Independent Virgins. Some of the contents therein relate to the big "X" I placed within the Ichnographia Campi Martii which marks (funny how Bloomer looks for markers in all the wrong places) the spot where Alaric and the Visigoths camped the summer of 410, i.e., before they broke through Rome's walls at the Salarian Gate.
