Guillaume Coustou
sculptor; b. April 25, 1677 (at Lyons); d. February 22, 1746.
Guillaume was a brother of Nicolas Coustou and nephew and pupil of Antoine Coysevox. He won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome in 1697 and was made académicien in 1704. He did much work for the decoration of the château and park of Versailles.
