Charles Yriarte
editor and writer on art; b. December 5, 1832 (at Paris); d. April 7, 1898.
He was editor in chief of le Monde Illustré in Paris, and published many important works on the Italian Renaissance, Florence, Venise, Paul Véronèse (Paris, 1886, folio); La vie d'un patricien de Venise au XV siècle, Rimini (Paris, 1882, 4to); etc.

In association with Semper, Karl Freiherr von Hasenauer designed at Vienna the Museums of Art and Natural History, built between 1872 and 1884.
