Level 3 is a large hypostyle hall with smaller room-like elements within the gridded structure. The seemingly casual layout of the amorphous elements suggests free movement throughout the otherwise highly ordered space.
The plan represents an almost excessive adherence to the idea of the 'free plan' as expressed in the Five Points of New Architecture (1926). The plan also recalls the magnified world of aquatic micro-organisms.
