Weird Wednesday Question
"Observable" is a key word with regard to the Universe. All of what we see in the night sky is 'old' light. For example, when looking at Mars, that's Mars 20 minutes ago. And when looking at a star 100 light years away, we're seeing the light that that star emitted 100 years ago. And when looking at a star 1000 light years away, we're seeing the light that that star emitted 1000 years ago. Etc.
When looking at the night sky, all you see is literally the past. Relative to us, the present and future condition of the Universe is only a calculated guess.
Accepting that human architecture on Earth broadly reflects the physiology and morphology of the human body, then all I can really guess is that the architecture of some alien intelligent life-form will reflect the physiology and morphology of the alien intelligent life-form body.

Why are people so fascinated with classical architecture?
It's a big mistake to think that "today almost all residential homes are modeled off of classicism or the Roman villa." There are faint traces of 'classical' details sometimes here and there, but, overall, classicism or the Roman villa are not today's predominate housing paradigm.

Constructing artificial environments is clearly an animal instinct (that humans also possess).
Architecture is a unique product of human imagination.

Why are people so fascinated with classical architecture?
Las Vegas learning from Piranesi is so next month. Why do I get the feeling that 5233 is now adjacent the Luxor's Sphinx? Akhenaten's quartz pyramid wo bist du? Not Merrill lynched, more just hung out to dry.
