JG,
I Haven't been a student since 1 May 1981, and I've been alive almost half a century now. The house I live in (and have lived in since October 1957) has many rooms of a different (vibrant) color (since 1982, although it may all go flat white over the bnext year).
The sketches are exercises in digital dexterity, products of a project carried out 24 April 2001 to 2 May 2001 where 512 images were generated. The "logic" in doing them is not at all different then the logic of sketching by hand where one tests dexterity or technique, and there is the same occurrance of unexpected results that sometimes spark an idea that may well lead to some design. A further selection of this series is available for viewing at www.museumpeace.com.
I've been using CAD professionally since 1983 (and I did not learn CAD in school--in fact, my old teachers first learned CAD from me). And since the very beginning, I have been interested in how CAD augments and changes the manual/graphic dexterity of the architect.
