Mnesikles
architect.
According to Plutarch and other writers, Mnesikles built the Propylæa of the Acropolis at Athens, begun 437 B.C., and finished in about five years. An inscription bearing his name has been found near the Propylæa. Mnesikles is also architect of the Erechtheion.
