Simple prefabricated building elements provide an adaptable kit of parts for additional rental housing. The design focuses on basic visual privacy and security necessary for a community built upon sharing. Each rental house is organized along the property edge and rearranged according to specific constraints, access, and use. The economic repetition and variability of building elements provide an identifiable community that can change and adapt over time.

The basic house unit is bound by two structural walls that provide privacy for both inhabitants of the lot (those living in the primary residence and those in the accessory dwelling).

Vertical skylight openings and solar chimneys, all with operable windows, create passive ventilation through the stack effect.
