Hugues Libergier (Le Berger)

Libergier built the beautiful church of S. Nicaise at Reims, Marne, France, which is preserved to us only in an engraving of the seventeenth century. The monument of Libergier is in the cathedral of Reims.
Robert de Coucy
architect; d. 1311.
The architect of Reims cathedral, after the the fire of 1211, was either Robert de Coucy or Hue Libergier, who began the church of S. Nicaise at Reims in 1229. The Robert de Coucy known to the records became architect of S. Nicaise at the death of Libergier in 1263. He was also architect of the cathedral of Reims at this later time.
