François Gaspard Adam
sculptor; b. 1710, at Nancy; d. 1759.
François Gaspard was the youngest son of Jacob Sigisbert Adam. He was associated with his brothers Lambert Sigisbert and Nicolas Sébastien. In 1747 he was invited by Friedrich II (Frederick the Great) to Prussia, and held the office of first sculptor of his court until his death.
