If you ever visit Stenton, try to get into the greenhouse, and note the interesting stair element of the west wall. I believe this room, and particularly its west wall, served as the inspiration for Venturi's 1973 unexecuted design for a pool house addition to the Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Lieb House at Penn Valley.
