architecture and accidents

JG, you have Gehry's work pegged all wrong. It has nothing to do with Lynnish form and blobs. Those guys use complex mathematical processes to generate form. Gehry uses Catia software to document and convey the forms to the contractors but it has nothing to do with his intuitive, low-tech design process.

Magui, check out some of Peter Eisenman's work. It has an accidental quality- he sets up processes or systems and kicks back and waits to see what happens.

As just described, Eisenman's methodology is then a process of intended serendipity rather than a process of pure accident.
