He was employed on the court of the old palace at Stuttgart (Würtemberg, Germany), which was begun in 1553. September 26, 1563, he was sent by the Duke Christoph of Würtemberg to Georg Friedrich, Markgraf of Oberfranken, to build the palace at Plassenburg.
