We first learned of each other's existence in Mr. Coffey's Algebra II and Trigonometry class, just over 50 years ago. Amidst the many, many extraordinary things talked about over the course of three and a half hours, I told her, had I won the recent big lottery, I'd gladly take the condo/co-op on Central Park South off their hands. And too bad they already sold Truman's Capote's 1969 red convertible Mustang, because I would have bought that too. She said she'll read The Discovery of Piranesi's Final Project--she better--and now I'm thinking we should all do lunch soon, or just come over and hang out here some Saturday night.
