Morning clear, wind NW. Temperature 44°. I have not had leisure[?] to attend much to the advance of the Spring. It is at least 10 days later than usual. The cherry petals which used to emulate a fall of snow at the close of the yearly Meeting are not yet fully developed. The forest trees are swelled but not out in leaf. Asparagus rose crowns, hyacinths, crs. imperial, violets and some other native plants in bloom. Therm. rose to 62.

My head was in a fog all day; it's wasn't easy having to clean up after another's vomit sickness in the middle of the night.
